What the trust is constituted to do

Establishing cultural centres, prohibition centres, gymnasiums and sports and competition facilities.
Our current programme information
We are preparing verified information about our current projects, the communities we are working with and the results of that work, so that it can be published here with the records that support it.
We have chosen not to publish beneficiary numbers or impact statistics until they can be substantiated from our own records. A donor is entitled to expect that a figure on a charity’s website can be evidenced, and we would rather publish nothing than publish an estimate that reads as a result.
Governance
The trust is governed by a General Body of registered trust members and an Executive Committee elected from among the life members. The Executive Committee has a minimum of seven and a maximum of eleven members, and appoints office bearers from among its members. The General Body meets after the close of each financial year, ordinarily within three months, and approves the annual report.
Office bearers at present:
- President: Sumitraben Damor
- Secretary: Yashraj Damor
Financial transactions of the trust require the signatures of the President and the Secretary as provided in the trust deed. The trust’s funds and property belong to the trust, and no member may claim them as personal property. Our financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
How we are funded
The trust deed provides for income from donations, gifts, contributions, membership fees, charity events and government grants.
PAPM is not registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. We accept donations from within India only. This is stated plainly because it determines who can lawfully support us, and it is enforced on our donation form rather than left to a footnote.
